Saint Peter was once intended to be the capital location for the State of Minnesota.  As such it’s city landscape, architectural detailing and spaces were all designed for future expansion making it’s geographical landscape spacious and more generous in many regards than other smaller towns.

Home to five of the past governors of the State of Minnesota, Saint Peter is also the county seat of Nicollet County and is proudly home to a number of large manufacturing organizations like the headquarters of the Alumacraft Boat Company, the Minnesota School Board Association, and Hendrickson Organ Factory (a company that makes hand made pipe organs which are shipped around the world) just to name a few.

Activities in Saint Peter really are endless all throughout the year.  Events for adults ranging from One-Pitch Softball and Noon Hour Basketball, to special events like the “Annual Free Fishing Contest”, to “Save the Date for Grandparent’s Day Celebration” are always springing up.   There’s even Pre-School Activties like “Lil’ Rascals Camp” and “Microstars” which helps boys and girls learn some basic skills and rules for sports like soccer and t-ball.  The youth will never be left out with Sports Camps and Dance Camps: there is just something for everybody in Saint Peter, MN.

Saint Peter is home to Gustavus Adolphus College, a Lutheran Affiliated private institution founded in 1862. The public school system in Saint Peter includes St. Peter High School, and there are two parochial schools: John Ireland Catholic School (K-6), which is associated with the Church of St. Peter, and St. Peter Evangelical Lutheran School (K-8), which along with the church is associated with the Wisconsin Evangelical Lutheran Synod.  Saint Peter also offers a private non-denominational (K-12) option through Veritas et Lux Preparatory School.

Saint Peter’s Community Health is provided by River’s Edge Community Hospital, River’s Edge Clinic and the St. Peter Community Clinic, which is part of the Mayo Health System.  Several other thriving health care centers make Saint Peter’s health and wellness options for every family member a top priority.
