The population of Mankato was just over 41,000 persons according to the 2015 US census estimates, making it the fifth largest city in Minnesota outside the Minneapolis–Saint Paul metropolitan area. The estimated number of households within Mankato is just under 16,000, but it boastfully is also comprised a trade population of more than 300,000 and more than 1.6 million people live with 60 miles.
